Our well established Aquatics department sells cold water fish from the traditional Goldfish to Sturgeon and Koi.

"SID" OUR SIBERIAN STURGEON
We have a long standing resident in our feature pond here at the Garden Centre; "Sid" the Siberian Sturgeon.
Sid is approximately 7 years old. He is now our largest Sturgeon and loves to be hand fed having become tamed over the years. He is often spotted skirting along the sides of the pond looking for food. His favourite treats are snails, mussels and worms. Sid can be easily recognised by his long pointed nose, seen frequently when he lifts his head out of the water and splashes you when least expected.
Sturgeons can live to over 20 years and may grow to over 6ft in length.
Sid lives in our large pond with other Sturgeons and Koi. We refer to him as our "gentle giant" being the largest and friendliest of all our fish… he's partial to a nose and tummy rub and can be seen taking treats from our staff!
